Sameerah Shareef, CNM

Sameerah, born and raised in Detroit, has been a resident of the Lansing/East Lansing community since 1974. She received her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Michigan State University in 1977.  She has since earned her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University and her certification in Midwifery from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing.  Sameerah has worked in the discipline of Maternal Child Health since 1985.

A great source of pride for Sameerah is her family.  She is the mother of three, grandmother to eight and great-grandmother (Gi-Gi) to one!  She has been a member of the St. Stephen’s Community Church for over 20 years where she serves as a designated pastor.

Sameerah is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority –Lansing Alumnae Chapter and the Les Meres et Debutante Club of Greater Lansing.  She enjoys, singing, dancing and reading in her spare time.
