A Labor & Delivery Education Class

This is a one-and-done fun, interactive class best taken around 32 weeks.

Class topics include:
*  Labor and birthing positioning options
*  How to manage contractions

*  How to position, breath and push out a baby
*  Immediate postpartum recovery

Preteen girls have questions about their changing bodies and Alliance is here to help!  We've put together a program for young ladies (ages 10-15) and their mother/support person to come together and learn about changes that are or will be occurring during the adolescent years.  This class is designed to answer questions and frame this physical & emotional transition in a positive light.

There will be a group discussion including the following topics:
Common Adolescent GYN problems
Physiology of the menstrual cycle
Nutritional requirements
Emotional/Psychological changes in adolescence
Important information you both need to plan for the future

Cost $15 for 2 people

Bone Density Screenings

Alliance offers a quick and simple screening that measures the bone mineral density in your heel, where the bone is most similar to that found in your hip, the site of most fractures.
This preliminary screening is for women who are over the age of 35, are not pregnant and have never had a bone scan.
Cost is $10.

What role does our culture, psychological well being and physical health play in the changes that are occurring? Are hormones safe?
